Celebrating 15 Years of Berkley Technology Underwriters: Built for Change, Focused on the Future

This year marks an important milestone for Berkley Technology Underwriters as we celebrate our 15th anniversary.
As I reflect on our journey, I am struck by how dramatically the technology landscape has evolved since 2011. Cloud computing was still gaining traction, cyber threats were emerging, and many of today's most transformative technologies had yet to be imagined. Yet through all that change, one thing has remained constant: the need for specialized insurance expertise that understands the unique challenges and opportunities of the technology sector.
Over the past 15 years, we have had the privilege of serving innovative organizations that continue to shape our world through technology and digital transformation. Their vision, resilience, and ingenuity have inspired us and fueled our own growth.
Our success has been built on more than products and policies. It has been built on people. I am incredibly grateful to our underwriting, claims, risk management, and operations teams whose expertise and dedication have earned the trust of our agents, brokers, and insureds. I am equally thankful for our distribution partners across the country whose collaboration, insights, and confidence in BTU have helped us continually evolve and improve.
The technology industry has transformed significantly over the last 15 years. We have witnessed the rise of cloud-based business models, increasingly sophisticated cyber exposures, evolving privacy regulations, and the growing impact of artificial intelligence. With every advancement comes new opportunity, as well as new risk.
Our mission has always been to help clients navigate uncertainty with confidence, and that commitment remains as relevant today as it was when BTU was founded. By combining specialized expertise with responsive service, we continue to deliver solutions designed for an increasingly complex and rapidly changing world.
As we celebrate this anniversary, we are not simply looking back on what we have accomplished. We are looking ahead to what comes next.
The future promises extraordinary innovation, fueled by advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), the continued evolution of government contracting solutions, increasing private equity investment in the technology sector, and emerging business models that will reshape industries in ways we cannot yet fully predict. With every new opportunity comes new complexity, and BTU remains committed to delivering the specialized expertise, underwriting leadership, and responsive solutions necessary to help our clients navigate that future with confidence.
